MeitY is to promote e-Governance for empowering citizens, promoting the inclusive and sustainable growth of the Electronics, IT & ITeS industries, enhancing India’s role in Internet Governance, adopting a multipronged approach that includes the development of human resources, promoting R&D and innovation, enhancing efficiency through digital services and ensuring secure cyberspace.

Uttar Pradesh is one of the largest contributors in various sectors of economy & has been consistently focusing on developing infrastructure, human capital and effective policy implementation so as to create a conducive ambience for IT-BPM industry. For effective implementation of Govt. policies, Uttar Pradesh has established a Policy Implementation Unit (PIU). One of its achievements is the construction of 100 acre IT City on PPP model in Lucknow with state of art skill development center having a capacity of 5,000 students per year. This IT city with min. INR 1,500 Crores investment will generate direct & indirect employment of approx. 75,000 people. Another initiatives include establishment of IT Parks in Agra, Meerut, Varanasi, Kanpur & Gorakhpur and the first "Government incubator” IT UPVAN in Ghaziabad & Lucknow. Department of electronics and IT, govt. of UP would facilitate with Grant-in-Aid for capital and operational expenses.

Software Technology Parks of India is an Autonomous Society set up by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India in 1991, with the objective of encouraging, promoting and boosting the Software Exports from India. Software Technology Parks of India maintains internal engineering resources to provide consulting, training and implementation services. Services cover Network Design, System Integration, Installation, Operations and maintenance of application networks and facilities in varied areas. Process development is based on the Quality Management System. Software Technology Parks of India center also adhere to ISO 9001 certification.”

ABOUT MEDTECH

MedTech: A Center of Entrepreneur in field of Medical equipment/electronics and Health Informatics. This novel initiative is being set up by a consortia comprising of Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), SGPGI Lucknow, Department of IT and Electronics, Government Of UP, Association Of Medical Device Industry (AIMED), Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) along with Kalam Institute of Health Technology (KIHT). The objectives of opening the same is to boost start-ups in the field of medical equipment/electronics & health informatics, and, to contribute to "Make-in-India" & "Digital India" programs of Govt. of India by reducing Health Care Equipment imports and recognize value of Health Care Equipment & Technology locally.

ABOUT SGPGI

Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI-MS), set up in 1983, is one of the best medical institutes of the country. Located at a distance of about 15 kms from the centre of the city, SGPGI-MS is involved in providing training and research, super specialty teaching and medical- care. Post-graduate degrees provided by the institute are MCh, DM, MD, post- doctoral fellowships, Ph.D, senior residency and post-doctoral Certificate Courses (PDCC). Department of Biostatistics and Health informatics at SGPGI is working on different new areas like Statistical education, Research consultancy, Computer education, Data analysis support, Management of patient care data etc. Support & assistance for clinical trial (process) for start-ups.
